After offering his prayers in the morning, he asked the gardener for pomegranate and ate fifty grains that came out of it because he had fifty queens. After this he went to everyone one by one. By the grace of God, except one queen Piroj, all his queens became pregnant. The emperor felt very sorry for this. He was convinced that this queen was barren. He wanted to get Piroj killed, but his minister stopped him from doing so and said that it is possible that she may also be pregnant but the signs of pregnancy have not appeared in her. The king said, It is good. I won’t kill it but I won’t let it stay with me. The minister said, “Okay. Send it to your nephew Sumer, who is the ruler of Samaria.

So the emperor sent Piroj to Samaria and at the same time wrote a letter to his nephew that we are sending our queen to you. If any son is born to him, then inform me. At the end of the day in Samaria, Piroj gave birth to a son. Sumer sent information that the queen had a son. The emperor was happy to hear this but he did not call Piroj back. He wrote to Sumer that here also by the mercy of God forty-nine queens have had sons, you name Piroj’s son Khudadad, do all the rituals for his birth and arrange for his good education, we will get all of him from here. Will send the cost

Sumer began to parent the newborn child. When Khudadad grew up, he was educated in arrows, horse riding and all the then arts and arts from skilled teachers and he became proficient in all the disciplines. By the eighteenth year, his form and body had grown such that he seemed to be the most handsome man in the world. When the spirit of youth emerged in him, he said to his mother, if you allow me, then I will come out of Samaria and test my strength. My father Harran has become the king of many enemies. The kings around also want to attack Harran. Wonder why my father didn’t call me even in such difficult times and why he didn’t take advantage of my bravery. Still it is not proper for me to sit at home. If my father has not called me, then it is not right, I should myself be present in his service. Mother said to him, It is right that if the country is afraid of its enemies, then you should not sit at home. But you wait now. Maybe he will send you a call. It is not okay for you to go without calling.

Khudadad said, when the state is in such a crisis, it is useless to wait for the call. I am feeling so restless right now that if I do not attend my father’s service immediately, I may not be able to survive. I will not reveal my reality there. I will call myself a foreigner and will serve him. I will tell that I am his son only when he will be impressed by my bravery. Then there will be no talk of resentment.

But his mother did not allow him to go. On this, after a few days, he came out on the pretext of hunting on a white horse and took some trusted companions with him. Within a few days they were all shocked. Khudadad entered the emperor’s court and went and saluted him. Seeing his splendor and behavior, the emperor kindly called him to him and asked his identity. Khudadad said, I am a resident of the city of Cairo and am the son of a rich man. I have left my country to travel the world. I have heard that you have been troubled by your enemies. If allowed, I will start on the battlefield for you. The emperor was very pleased with this and made him the chief officer of his personal army.

Khudadad equipped and educated that army in a few days and pleased its heroes by rewarding and honoring them. The ministers were also mesmerized by his behavior. In the court, he was respected more than all the princes and chieftains. The emperor’s grace on him became more and more. He expanded and managed the army. Seeing this, the enemies of the state also moved away from their countries without fighting. The emperor also put the burden of training his sons on Khudadad. Although he was the youngest of his brothers, he became the ruler of all. Due to this, the princes started getting jealous of him even more. They started saying among themselves that what has happened to our old father that this foreigner has started liking this foreigner so much that he has got his orders executed on all of us. He unanimously said that this situation is intolerable.

They started advising what to do with this foreigner. One thought that finding it alone would kill it. Another prince said that this is not right, this thing will not be hidden and the emperor will give us the harshest punishment. In the end, everyone liked the talk of a prince. He was of the opinion that we should take permission from this to play hunting and go out on this pretext and go to some distant country, this would worry our father and he would get it killed himself. All the princes agreed on this measure and started preparing to complete this plan. Then one day he told Khudadad that we want to go hunting tomorrow, we will come back by evening. God gave permission. Those people never returned. On the third day the emperor asked Khudadad that the princes were not visible, where did they go.

Khudadad said, the government, this servant himself is in this concern. They had taken hunting permission from me. Today is the third day, they don’t know. The emperor was also worried. He would ask Khudadad his condition every day and would get the same answer. Finally one day he got angry and said to Khudadad, foreigner, how did you dare to send the princes on a hunt and did not go with them yourself. Now it is better that you yourself go in search of them and bring them wherever you find them. If you don’t bring them, I will get your head taken off.

Khudadad was scared of the king’s anger and took some money and went on a horse. He kept looking for them from town to town and village to village, but he was nowhere to be found. He would often lament and say, my brothers, where are you? Have you not fallen into the hands of an enemy? I’m shocked I can’t go back until you meet and you’re nowhere to be found. Now he left the settlements and started looking for them in the forests. In this search he reached a deep forest. A huge building of black stone was built in it. He went and stood under that palace and started looking up. Quite high a window opened and a very beautiful woman, whose hair was scattered and her clothes dirty and torn, slowly began to say something. Khudadad listened with his ear. She was saying, O traveler, run away from here immediately, Otherwise the owner of this building will make you miserable. He is a giant cannibalistic negro. The man trapped in his claws does not survive. He captures the foreigners, locks them in a dark cellar, then roasts them one by one and eats them. Khudadad asked, who are you? The woman said, I am from Cairo. I was going to Baghdad. It was coming out of this forest that this Nebshi had come. It killed my servants and locked me in this place. He wants to enjoy with me but I have been avoiding. If I do not listen to him today, he will kill me. I’d rather die by being with him. But why do you want to know? you run away. He has gone in search of stray travelers to increase his food supply. He will come soon. His eyesight is sharp, he can see from far away. You go away. Then roasts them one by one and eats them. I am from Cairo. I am from Cairo.

Sundari was just saying all this to Khudadad that a man like a demon had arrived. He looked like a mountaineer and was sitting on a very high turkish horse. His sword was so heavy that none other than him could lift it, and his mace was of many minds. Khudadad got scared seeing him and started praying to God to be saved from this demon. Habshi saw him taking out his sword, but despised him and did not handle his weapons, but wanted to hold it by the same hand. Seeing this, Khudadad raised his horse and struck his knee with a sword. Wounded, the Habshi roared fiercely and took out his heavy sword and fired it at Khudadad. Khudadad survived by changing his maneuver or else he would have been cut like a cucumber. Now Khudadad wielded his mace with such skill and such an angle that the hagshi’s hand was cut off and he was coming down from the horse. Khudadad rushed over and with his sword severed the head of the negro from his body.

The beauty was watching this battle from the window and was praying to God to make Khudadad victorious. Seeing the death of Habshi, she was not happy and started crying out and said, God has great mercy. Now you take the bunch of keys from his waist and open the lock and come to me.

He used to keep all the keys of the huge Habshi fort with him. Khudadad came to him. The beauty was ready to fall at his feet, but Khudadad picked her up in the middle. The beauty started praising him and said that I have not seen any other brave man like you. Khudadad had seen her from afar so far, when she looked from near, she looked more beautiful than before. They both sat down and started talking.

While both of them were talking, the sound of shouting was heard from one side. Khudadad asked, where is this voice coming from and what does it mean? The beauty raised her finger towards the door on one side of the room, that is to say, with a gesture that the voice was coming from behind this door. And on asking she said, there is a big room here. That Negro has imprisoned many people here. He used to bring new people and keep them here, and going there every day, he used to pick one person out and bring them out and roast them and eat them.

Khudadad said that I want to free him from this captivity. Both of them went to that door and started trying to open it with different keys. The lock kept rattling for a long time due to several keys. The screaming coming from inside only intensified. Khudadad wondered why this wailing had increased. Sundari said that by rattling the lock, they understand that the negro has come and will take away any of them. His voice was like coming from inside a deep well. A long life appeared when the lock was opened. When he answered and went downstairs, he saw about a hundred men lying in a tight dark place, whose hands and feet were tied. Khudadad said, friends, now give up fear. By the mercy of God, I have killed your enemy, Habshi. They were very happy to hear this.

Khudadad began to untie their bonds. Those whose bonds were opened, they also used to open others. In this way all the people became free in a short time. After coming out of the basement, everyone kissed Khudadad’s feet and started blessing him. When they came to the open light outside the palace, Khudadad saw that among them were all his brothers whom he had set out to find. He said, it is a great grace of God that you are in good health. Your father is getting very involved in your separation. None of you went into the belly of the demon? Saying this he counted them and separated them from the rest of the group. All the princes hugged each other.

Khudadad inquired about the beauty and found out the store-house of the negro and made all the people full of food. He also saw that various valuables, gems, perfumes, silk, velvet etc. were piled up in the godowns. This goods was plundered by the Negro from the merchants whom he used to capture for the cellar. Taking all the freed prisoners to that warehouse, Khudadad said to pick up your goods. When everyone took their bundles, Khudadad distributed most of the remaining items to them. But he said that how will you take these things out of this deserted forest. He said, this ninja used to catch our camels and mules also. They must be tied up somewhere.

When Khudadad went to the cattle shed, he saw hundreds of camels and mules, besides the prince’s horses tied. They were guarded by the Habshi servants. Seeing all these prisoners being released, they understood that our native owner had been killed. They all ran here and there after saving their lives. Khudadad let them go. Then Khudadad said to the beauty, from where did you get this naughty? We’ll get you there. These princes of astonishment must have known your country, they will reach you.

The girl said, I have already told that I am from Cairo. Thank you very much for saving my life and my honour. What else shall I tell my condition? It is enough that I am also a princess. A wicked man killed my father and plundered his country. I ran away from there and came here and fell in the hands of this demon-like negro. When Khudadad and other princes insisted on this, she started telling her detailed account in this way.
